Since October 2019, Joseph Rawlins and Gaëlle Radigon have been at the helm of Cheshire’s La Popote.
Joseph and his team guarantee a truly memorable dining experience with gastronomic flair and outstanding locally sourced produce. Joseph has created a new and tantalising menu and is confident that customers will experience exquisite food, fine wine and exceptional service.
The menu will change on a regular basis to reflect the seasons and the availability of meats, fish and vegetables.
Whether you visit for a leisurely lunch, dinner, or for a special occasion, you are sure of a warm welcome.
Joseph, a Wilmslow native is a graduate from Gordon Ramsay’s renowned Tante Marie cooking school with a Cordon Bleu Diploma. He has worked at the award-winning restaurant, the Artichoke in Old Amersham as the Demi Chef de Partie and he has worked in French restaurants for the past 7 years. During this time Joseph was trained by the formidable Guillaume Delage. Guillaume opened Jadis in Paris in 2008 to rave reviews and much of Joseph’s expertise was honed under Guillaume’s tutelage.
Joseph’s most recent position was as Head Chef at the impressive restaurant, Le Sauvage in Paris.
Gaëlle has years of experience as the Front of House in many restaurants both in England and her native France and looks forward to welcoming La Popote’s regular clientele and of course to attracting new diners to the restaurant.
Commenting on the new venture, Joseph said, “Cooking has always been my passion, and I have been inspired and influenced by many different people and places over the past 10 years. Moving back to Cheshire is like a homecoming, and Gaelle and I are delighted to have taken over the reins of La Popote to offer a truly memorable fine dining experience with gastronomic flair, using locally sourced produce.”
Joe continued, “Our new exciting menu will provide an opportunity for our guests to sample wonderful food, drink fine wine and enjoy an exceptional service from our experienced team. The menu will change on a regular basis to reflect the seasons and the availability of meats, fish and vegetables.”
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and for Sunday lunch. The restaurant is also available for private parties on Tuesdays and by prior arrangement – catering for special occasions and business events is a speciality.
