La Popote is owned by Chef Joseph Rawlins and Gaëlle Radigon. Located in the heart of Cheshire, this French restaurant is dedicated to sourcing local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients for a contemporary audience.
As a French restaurant in close proximity to Alderly Edge, Congleton, and Macclesfield, dedicated to providing casual fine dining experiences, we welcome everyone looking to open their eyes and mouths to exciting culinary experiences.

La Popote’s Chef Joseph, a Wilmslow native, attended Gordon Ramsay’s renowned Tante Marie cooking school, graduating with a Cordon Bleu Diploma. He has worked at Artichoke as Demi Chef de Partie, as well as several restaurants in Paris for the past 7 years.
During his time in Paris, Joseph trained with the formidable, and famed, Guillaume Delage. Guillaume opened Jadis in 2008 to rave reviews, and much of Joseph’s expertise was honed under Guillaume’s tutelage. Guillaume himself was taught by Pierre Gagnaire, who needs no introduction.

Joseph continually renews the La Popote menu in order to ensure customers will experience exquisite food, fine wine and exceptional service. This is also completed in an effort to reflect seasonality and the availability of meats, fish, and vegetables.
Before La Popote, Gaëlle has had many years as the Front of House in restaurants both in England and her native France. Gaëlle is committed to providing clients with exceptional service in a welcoming environment. Gaëlle studied at fashion school before going on to study marketing and communications at business school in Paris. She now takes this creativity and puts it to use in the restaurant, continually developing the La Popote fine dining experience.
Gaëlle is pleased to announce that the restaurant is available for private parties on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by prior arrangement, as catering for special occasions and business events is a particular passion of hers.
Gaëlle has years of experience as the Front of House in many restaurants both in England and her native France and looks forward to welcoming La Popote’s regular clientele and of course to attracting new diners to the restaurant.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and for Sunday lunch. The restaurant is also available for private parties on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by prior arrangement – catering for special occasions and business events is a speciality.
